We are delighted to introduce our elected Board members. As a Co-operative we have staff representatives on our Board in addition to Non-Executive Directors.

Officers

Peter Thompson, Non Executive - Chair of the Board. Peter was elected as a Non Executive Director Board in April 2022. He was voted in as Chair at the AGM in July 2022. Peter brings a wealth of experience in co-operatives, business and the public sector. He was one of the early founders of DACC, back in 1994. Peter has held many high level positions over the years, including as a former Chair of County Durham Police Authority. DACC welcomes his forthcoming contributions and support.

Jean Ramshaw , Non Executive - Vice Chair. Jean joined the Board of Directors at DACC in April 2022 and was duly elected as Vice Chair in July 2022. Jean has been a long supporter of DACC, from earlier days at the Co-operative Development Association, implementing the first Direct Payments as they were introduced, her work as a church volunteer and now our Board member. Jean has personal experience of Dementia care when her mother was diagnosed some years ago.

Mandy English-Jones - Company Secretary. Mandy joined the DACC team back in October 2021, and was elected as Company Secretary after the sudden death of Terry Morton. Mandy has long experience of Board memberships, reporting to Board level in her past Strategic roles, and has many years experience of community development, working with disadvantaged groups and supporting co-operative businesses.
